Guidelines for Participants

We want these conferences to be as inclusive, as friendly and as enjoyable as possible, we have therefore laid out some guidelines to facilitate these aims and help the smooth running of conferences.

When not speaking please remember to Mute your microphone as echoes and other noises can be distracting to others.

When someone is speaking or in conversion with another person then be respectful and allow them to speak uninterrupted. Should you wish to make a comment or add to the conversation then a simple “Can I ask a question?” or “Could I add something to this?” is sufficient and at an appropriate place you will be given the opportunity to participate.

Keep contributions relevant to the topic being discussed. If you intend your contribution to introduce a new direction please ensure it meets the overall topic of the current conference, and the direction relates to Virsel work. (If you have any other topics you wish to discuss please message or email a member of Virsel Admin.)

Please refrain from revealing personal information about yourself or others.

Please be respectful of other participants and their comments, even if you do not agree with them.

If you have any question about these guidelines please feel free to ask Virsel Admin.

PLEASE NOTE
ATTENDANCE AT A CONFERENCE IS AN AGREEMENT TO ABIDE BY THESE GUIDELINES. PERSISTENT INFRACTIONS OR DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOUR WILL LEAD TO EJECTION FROM THE CONFERENCE.

Please do not attend a conference whilst under the influence of Alcohol and/or any other substance as you WILL be ejected.
